Nambour, Bli Bli & Caloundra – Stormwater Chamber Renewals

The Goal

The primary goal of this project was to upgrade ageing, non-compliant stormwater assets across three Sunshine Coast locations. The works aimed to restore structural integrity, improve drainage capacity at vulnerable low points, and ensure safe, long-term maintenance access for Council.

The Challenge

A key challenge of this project was carrying out deep excavations and heavy precast lifts within tight residential streets and busy traffic intersections. Our team had to carefully work around existing underground services, including water mains and communications infrastructure, while minimising noise and disruption to local residents and businesses.

The Solution

To safely deliver the upgrades, we implemented tailored traffic management for each site. We removed the old infrastructure and installed modern, high-capacity precast concrete chambers and heavy-duty manhole covers. Following installation, we completed full pavement and asphalt reinstatement to match the existing road profiles seamlessly.

The Result

The local community now benefits from upgraded, fully compliant stormwater infrastructure that effectively manages water flow and reduces the risk of localised flooding. The roadways have been smoothly restored, ensuring a safer and more resilient environment for all road users.
